The Syrian civil war ground through the fifth year, with the death toll overall estimated at anywhere beteen $300,000 to $500,000 people. When speaking of involvement, President Obama has resisted calls for full-on U.S. involvement, and has brought great criticism.

Since the beginning of the year, Democrats thought that they would hold a spot in the Senate and be in control, but that's not what happened. Democrats only got 2 seats, three short of the five needed to win the majority if a Republican won the White House. If Clinton won, all they would need would have been four seats.

7. "Massacre in Orlando"
Although 2016 had been a year with more than its fair input on violence and tragedy, that was located at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando in June. The person's name is Omar Matteen, a 29-year old that was armed with a semi-automatic pistol with a semi-automatic rifle, who entered a nightclub who cater to gay clientele.
6. "The rise of fake news"
The fake news phenomenon hit a high place in early December, when armed Edgar Welch was happy to investigate a conspiracy linked to Hillary Clinton. He fired two shots before he was arrested, but thankfully, no one was injured.

A political fight that included President Barack Obama had originally started from the sudden death of Associate Justice Antonin Scalia in February.

In 2016, as of December 30, 957 people have been shot and killed by police in the United States. This is according to a Washington Post database.

After many discoveries of the unanticipated action, Hillary is being investigated by the FBI. Does it matter if she's guilty or not? Do all politicians lie?

It is believed that Russia was behind hacks of the private email account of John Podesta, who's the chairman of Hillary Clinton's campaign as well as the Democratic National Committee.
